The Dutch Futures returns to GC Houtrak

We are very happy to announce that The Royal Bank of Scotland will once again be the head sponsor of this Challenge Tour tournament held from the 10th to the 13th of September.

Jan de Ruiter, CEO Netherlands of The Royal Bank of Scotland is excited about the joint effort. ''The Dutch Futures is a fantastic event combined with a personal touch. We at the bank feel that this makes for a perfect match".

For the third year in a row Made in Scotland will organize this European Challenge Tour Event with host club Houtrak.

'Prize Money this coming year has been raised to 150.000 euro', boasted the proud tournament director Niels Boysen. Prize money at this time of year will be extremely important with the winner taking home a cheque for 25.000 euro! The Dutch Futures is one of the last 6 tournaments being held at the end of the year as the players fight to improve their final rankings.

Boysen further remarked: 'We are very pleased that the tournament will once again be played at GC Houtrak. Both the players and the tournament committee are happy to return to this championship layout. And most of all because of the ambitious executive board, many enthusiastic volunteers and general support of her members. These together promise to make for another successful championship.

128 professionals and 6 amateurs will attempt to win the trophy. At least 10 Dutch professionals will take part, with Rolf Muntz and Robin Swane already committed to play.

Last year provided a sensational finish from home club Dutchman Taco Remkes eagling the 72nd hole to force a playoff which he went on to win. 'We would love to have him back', exclaimed Boysen. 'Of course we understand that this will depend on his European Tour schedule, nonetheless we will have a place reserved for him if he can make it.'
